Moddershall Oaks is one of those venues that just stops you in your tracks. Nestled in the Staffordshire countryside on the outskirts of Stoke-on-Trent, it's the kind of place that feels like a little hidden world of its own — lush gardens, a gorgeous lake, weeping willows and that incredible outdoor ceremony space that honestly looks like something out of a dream. I had the most wonderful time shooting here for Jessie and Daniel's wedding on the 24th May, and honestly? The weather was on our side in the most spectacular way. We're talking wall-to-wall sunshine, deep blue skies and that gorgeous golden light that makes every single photo just glow. I couldn't have asked for more!

Morning Preparations at Moddershall Oaks

Jessie got ready in one of the stunning on-site pods, which are just the most beautiful little spaces — all warm wood and natural light, with that gorgeous arched doorway that makes for the most incredible bridal portraits. There's something so special about a bride having her own private sanctuary to get ready in, away from the world, before she steps out to begin the biggest day of her life. Jessie looked absolutely breathtaking in her fitted lace mermaid gown — delicate spaghetti straps, intricate floral embroidery all the way through and a sweeping train that pooled perfectly behind her. She carried the most lush, effortlessly wild bouquet — all white blooms, eucalyptus and trailing greenery tied with hessian. Utterly gorgeous.

An Outdoor Ceremony by the Lake

The outdoor ceremony space at Moddershall Oaks is genuinely one of the most beautiful I've photographed. Rows of white chairs lined either side of the aisle, adorned with stunning white floral arrangements, leading up to a gorgeous wooden gazebo framed by the lake and the most lush, green trees. With the sun blazing down and those weeping willows in the background, it felt like the most magical, romantic setting imaginable.

One of my absolute favourite things about Jessie and Daniel's day was how much their children were woven into the ceremony. Watching the little one carry the rings — with so much pride and concentration — was just the most heart-melting moment. Days like this, where children are such a central, joyful part of the celebration, always make me feel so honoured to be there capturing it all.

Dan and his groomsmen looked incredibly dapper in their black tie — there's something so timeless about a groom in a tux and bow tie. And when Jessie walked down that aisle towards him in the sunshine, I think the whole venue held its breath for a moment.

Couple Portraits Around the Grounds

After the ceremony — and a very joyful confetti moment! — we headed out to explore the grounds for portraits. Moddershall Oaks has so much to offer photographically, and I was absolutely in my element wandering around with Jessie and Daniel. We shot along the path that winds around the edge of the lake, through the most stunning tree-lined walkway with flowering rhododendrons and dappled light filtering through the canopy, and tucked in beside the water's edge with the lush reeds framing the most romantic shots.

Jessie and Daniel were so relaxed and easy in front of the camera — they're just one of those couples who are so naturally comfortable together, laughing and stealing kisses like nobody else is around. It made my job an absolute joy. I was also working alongside the wonderful content creator @bysophieanna, and we had a brilliant time bouncing ideas off each other to make sure Jessie and Daniel had the most incredible memories of their day captured from every angle.

A Day Full of Love, Sunshine and Happy Tears

Jessie and Daniel's day was everything — elegant, romantic, fun and completely full of love. The white and green colour palette felt fresh and timeless against the stunning natural backdrop of the venue, and the little touches, from their gorgeous newspaper-style order of service to the carefully wrapped favours waiting on every seat, showed just how much thought had gone into every detail.

I am so in love with these images and so grateful to have been part of such a beautiful day. If you're planning your own Moddershall Oaks wedding and you'd love to chat about your photography, I would absolutely love to hear from you!
